Spring Season

Fun learning experience that seeks to build competence, confidence, and teamwork in a new generation of girls lacrosse players.

Doublecrosse is a 503(c) organization, so all dues go back into the program. They support field rental, head coach salaries (many coaches are unpaid parent volunteers), USA Lacrosse membership which provides insurance for the club, league dues, participation in the End of Season Jamboree, and a small percentage to administration and marketing. Registration fees also cover the replacement and maintenance of equipment.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

RECOMMENDATIONS

WOMEN'S / GIRLS' STICKS

GOGGLES / HEADGEAR

  • Goggles MUST be SEI Certified (click USA Lacrosse, Eye and Face Protect, Eye Protection for Women's Lacrosse, Eye Protectors for Women's Lacrosse to see the legal brands and models)
  • Headgear MUST meet ASTM standard F3137 (click USA Lacrosse, Head Protection, Headgear for Women's Lacrosse to see the legal brands and models)
  • Specific goggle recommendations (should be able to fit most glasses under all of below if needed):
  • STX Rookie-S Youth Goggle - smallest fitting goggle
  • STX 4Sight+ S Youth Goggle - sized for players 10 and under
  • STX 4Sight+ S Adult Goggle - adult fit
  • STX Focus XV-S Adult Goggle - adult fit; provides a little more visibility than 4Sight+
  • Specific helmet recommendations:
  • Cascade LX Headgear - one size fits most with customizable fit; may be too large for young players

MOUTH GUARDS

  • Must fully cover teeth and be visible color (no clear, white, no teeth graphics) and have no protruding tabs
  • Mouthguards come in different sizes, so purchase the best fit for your daughter
  • Sepecific recommendations:
  • SISU Aero Guard
  • SISU Max Guard - good for players with braces
  • Game On Mouthguard - no strap
  • Tip: Store mouthguard in a case. Rinse mouthguard with water after each use. Clean regularly with toothpaste, mouthwash, or soap and water to prevent bacterial growth

CLEATS

We recommend players wear cleats instead of sneakers or running shoes as cleats will provide more traction and improve safety.

OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT

The following is optional for all players.

  • Womens/girls lacrosse gloves - some players like these for grip on their stick, or for some increased warmth
  • Goalies use a different stick and require additional equipment for safety, which is provided by Doublecrosse for each team. Players who play goalie may opt to purchase their own equipment, but is not required. Ask your coach if you would like recommendations.
